What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate patients' functional status and home environment for hazards as delegated by the registered occupational therapist
- Teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities lost due to illness or injury
- Maintain clinical records and report any changes in patients' conditions to the registered occupational therapist
- Follow treatment programs and document patients' responses and progress toward goals
- Communicate with other personnel involved in patient care to ensure coordinated treatment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed as an occupational therapy assistant by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant
- Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle

- Experience in a home health care setting
