Job summary

VIVO Healthcare of West Orange is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Florida. The COTA will implement occupational therapy modalities and treatments as prescribed by an OT, functioning under the direct supervision of the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Employment requires Level 2 background clearance, and pre-employment checks including references, drug screening, physical exam, and licensure verification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Background screening through Florida Caregiver Background Screening Clearinghouse (Level 2) is required.
• Pre-employment checks including reference checks, drug screening, physical examination, and verification of licensure or certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by an OT treatment plan.
• Under direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist, deliver patient care.

Job Description:

The OT COTA functions under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist responsible for patient care. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an OT.
