Job summary

Southwest Montana Veteran's Home in Butte, MT is seeking an in-house Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and deliver high-quality resident care.

You will evaluate residents, develop OT rehabilitation plans, help with mobility, and support tasks while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. We offer a $7,500 sign-on bonus and daily pay, with CEU opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Licensed COTA with current status in state.
  • Minimum 1 year of COTA experience.
  • Experience with geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop OT rehab plans.
  • Assist residents to improve mobility.
  • Support residents through tasks and monitor progress.
  • Explain recovery stages and anticipated outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure safety.
  • Uphold infection-control policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
  • Duties may change with notice.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate OT rehabilitation plan.
  • Help Residents to improve their mobility.
  • Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
  • Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
  • Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by protecting Residents and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
  • Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing with state employed.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a COTA.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus!
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
