Job summary

Southwest Montana Veteran's Home in Butte, MT is seeking an in-house Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and deliver high-quality resident care.

You will evaluate residents, develop OT rehabilitation plans, help with mobility, and support tasks while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. We offer a $7,500 sign-on bonus and daily pay, with CEU opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Licensed COTA with current status in state.
Minimum 1 year of COTA experience.
Experience with geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop OT rehab plans.
Assist residents to improve mobility.
Support residents through tasks and monitor progress.
Explain recovery stages and anticipated outcomes.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure safety.
Uphold infection-control policies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities

Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate OT rehabilitation plan.
Help Residents to improve their mobility.
Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by protecting Residents and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing with state employed.
