Department: In-House Subacute Rehabilitation

Blue Palms Health and Rehab Center is currently seeking a Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic in-house rehab team. We specialize in subacute care and are dedicated to helping our patients regain independence in a supportive, team-focused setting.

Position Overview:

As a Per Diem COTA, you will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on care and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients’ ability to perform daily living and functional tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist

• Assist patients in achieving goals related to self-care, mobility, and daily living activities

• Observe and report on patient progress and response to treatment

• Accurately document treatments and patient outcomes

• Collaborate with the rehab and nursing teams to ensure comprehensive care

• Educate patients and families on techniques to support continued progress at home

Qualifications:

• Current Florida licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• Graduate of an accredited COTA program

• Experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care

• Reliable and flexible with a professional attitude
