Job summary

Whittier Pacific Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with sub-acute experience to join our nursing team in Whittier, CA. This full-time AM shift role requires an active CNA certification and completion of a CNA program, plus a high school diploma or equivalent.

The ideal candidate demonstrates compassion, reads and speaks English, and maintains good physical health to assist residents with daily activities and mobility. Vaccination including boosters is required.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with successful completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• COVID-19 vaccination including boosters.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift and move patients or stand for long periods.
• Compassion towards residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents under supervision of RN/LPN.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation, and outings.
• Keep unit organized and running smoothly with strong organizational skills.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform and document rounds and report changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize activities based on care needs.
• Assist with transfers and mobility as needed.

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) withSUBACUTE experience to join our team!

• Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program
• Minimum one (1) year of Sub-Acute experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Compassion towards residents and their families

Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
• Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities
• Be punctual and professional
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Scale: $22 to $23

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
