Job summary

Whittier Pacific Care Center in Whittier, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Sub-Acute experience to join our team and provide compassionate resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

This full-time PM shift position offers $22–$23 per hour, with pay based on experience, plus benefits consistent with classification as Non-Exempt under California law.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification and successful completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation, and outings.
• Keep the unit organized and running smoothly.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform and document rounds and report changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent patient care.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize activities based on current care needs.
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed or chair.
• Transport residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) withSUBACUTE experience to join our team!

• Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program
• Minimum one (1) year of Sub-Acute experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Compassion towards residents and their families

Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
• Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.

Pay Scale: $22 to $23

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
