Job summary

San Gabriel Convalescent Center in Rosemead, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience to join our nursing team. This full-time position (NOC shift) offers a pay range of $22 to $23 per hour, depending on experience, and requires active CNA certification and completion of a CNA program.

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including boosters), read, write and speak English, and demonstrate compassion

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification required; completion of CNA program expected.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed or registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation, and outings.
• Maintain unit organization and respond to call lights to meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics during transfers and daily tasks.
• Document rounds and report changes in patient conditions; provide companionship and excellent care.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment and prioritize activities based on care needs.

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) withexperience to join our team!

• Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program
• Minimum one (1) year of Sub-Acute experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Compassion towards residents and their families

Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
• Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities
• Be punctual and professional
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Scale: $22 to $23 + based on experience

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
