Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a 75-hour nurse aide course required
• Nursing assistants must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• IPERS retirement is offered as part of benefits
• Experience as CNA in long-term care preferred
• Must complete 12 hours of continuing education annually

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility
• Take and record resident vital signs as requested by the Charge Nurse
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors
• Provide feeding assistance and monitor dietary needs per care plan
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident areas and equipment
• Support residents with ADL skills and encourage independence
