Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time CNA for the Med Surg Unit at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City. This PRN role requires 12-hour shifts in a rotating schedule to support patient care.

As a team member you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals under the supervision of a licensed RN, and contribute to a compassionate care environment in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant Level I in the State of Oregon.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with bathing, dressing, eating and elimination.
• Helps patients with daily living activities such as transferring and turning to prevent bed sores.
• Takes patient vitals (BP, pulse, temperature) under RN supervision.

Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking for a CNA who is available to work PRN. The shifts are 12-hour shifts. In the Med Surg Unit for our Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City location.

What you will do

• Assists patients with bathing, dressing, eating and elimination.
• Works closely with patients helping them with other activities of daily living such as transferring from the bed to a chair, performing minor physical therapy routines and turning in bed to prevent bed sores.
• Takes patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate and temperature, all while working under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant Level I in the State of Oregon.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
