Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Baker City is seeking a part-time CNA to join the Med Surg Unit on a 12-hour night shift. The position is available as a PRN role within Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Baker City.

The CNA will assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating and elimination, and support daily living activities, including transfers and basic therapies, under the supervision of a registered nurse. Minimum qualifications include Oregon CNA Level I license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant Level I in the State of Oregon.
• Basic Life Support for Health Care providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with bathing, dressing, eating and elimination.
• Works closely with patients helping them with other activities of daily living such as transferring from the bed to a chair, performing minor physical therapy routines and turning in bed to prevent bed sores.
• Takes patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate and temperature, all while working under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse

Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking for a CNA who is available to work PRN. The shifts are 12 -hour shifts. In the Med Surg Unit for our Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City location.
