Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Baker City is seeking a part-time CNA PRN for 12-hour night shifts in the Med Surg Unit. You will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and operate under RN supervision to provide high-quality patient care.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork with licensed staff, and commitment to improving patient outcomes in a faith-based not-for-profit system serving Idaho, Oregon and northern Nevada communities.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant Level I in Oregon.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA, ARC or Military Training Network) required at hire.

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating and elimination; help with other activities of daily living and transfers.
• Take patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse.

Position Summary & Highlights:

We are seeking for a CNA who is available to work PRN.

The shifts are 12 -hour shifts. In the Med Surg Unit for our Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City location.

What you will do:

Assists patients with bathing, dressing, eating and elimination. Works closely with patients helping them with other activities of daily living such as transferring from the bed to a chair, performing minor physical therapy routines and turning in bed to prevent bed sores. Takes patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate and temperature, all while working under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant Level I in the State of Oregon.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
