Gulf Coast Village Assisted Living/Palmview in Cape Coral, FL is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (Part-Time, 3p-11p). You will provide nursing care under state guidelines, perform assessments, and follow a personalized care plan to support residents.

Qualifications

• State approved nursing assistant course completion/certification, or enrollment in approved course per state guidelines.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to prioritize duties and follow assignments.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use computers for timekeeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under State Nurse Practice Act guidelines.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of client status.
• Develop and follow an individualized Plan of Care.
• Provide skilled interventions to achieve client outcomes.
• Report changes to modify the care plan as needed.
• Demonstrate competency with nursing skills and safety.
• Apply assessment skills to client, family, and environment.
• Teach clients according to needs and environment.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State approved nursing assistant course completion/certification, or enrollment in approved course per state guidelines.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others.
• Ability to prioritize duties.
• Ability to understand and follow work assignments.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the practice of professional nursing in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and standards for home health nursing.
• Performs comprehensive assessments of client status, including physical, psychological, and environmental parameters.
• Develops and/or follows an individualized Plan of Care that incorporates analysis of data and current scientific findings.
• Provides skilled interventions aimed at achieving realistic client outcomes within a specified time period.
• Reports changes and information necessary to modify and update the care plan to reflect progress towards goals (outcomes).
• Consistently demonstrates competency with technical nursing skills according to personal and legal scope of practice.
• Assessment skills as applied to the client, family/support system, and environment.
• Teaching skills according to the client’s needs and within the context of the client’s environment, value system, and physical/emotional status.
