Job summary

Wilmington Treatment Center in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care and well-being. You will assist with admissions, take vitals, and help with routine tests and rounds.

New CNAs are welcome. Required CNA certification in NC, CPR/First Aid, and de-escalation training; driver license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Prior behavioral health experience preferred; newly certified CNAs welcome.

Responsibilities

• Complete vitals, pre-admission tests, and intake documentation.
• Perform vitals and tests such as glucose, UDS, HCG.
• Conduct patient rounds and assist with transports as needed.
• Handle administrative duties within nursing/medical departments.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Wilmington Treatment Center loves our CNAs! This position plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care by supporting daily needs and enhancing the overall well-being of those we serve.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Works with admitting patients by completing vitals, pre-admission tests, and intake documentation

Complete vitals and performs various tests (i.e. glucose, UDS, HcG)

Performs patient rounds

Transports patients as requested

Performs administrative duties associated with the nursing/medical departments

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant program completion
• Previous experience in behavioral health setting knowledge and experience working with the population of the facility preferred.
• Newly certified CNAs are encouraged to apply

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current NC Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR, First Aid, and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• Current NC Drivers License
