Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Medical Tech for the Westminster Suncoast in St. Petersburg. This part-time role supports residents with daily living activities, medication administration under supervision, and adherence to safety protocols.

The position requires active Florida CNA license, CPR and First Aid certifications, and prior experience with older adults. Schedule is 7.5–16 hours weekly, with days varying and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Active CPR certification.
• Active First Aid certification.
• Experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other needs.
• Observe and document residents' self-administration of medications and report irregularities to the nurse.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Practice Infection Prevention and Control per federal/state requirements.
• Document care and observations in ECS flowsheets.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure safety equipment is functioning.
• Provide timely incontinent care and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist Activities Department in engaging residents in planned activities.
