Job Summary

The Med Tech plays a vital role in our clinical team, administering medications, monitoring residents' vital signs, and ensuring their well-being under the supervision of a licensed nurse, adhering to state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer scheduled oral and topical medications via scanning according to physician orders
• Monitor and record vital signs as per physician instructions
• Report any adverse medication effects to the Charge Nurse
• Maintain accurate medication and treatment documentation
• Assist with medication management tasks such as returning, re-ordering, and destroying medications
• Notify Charge Nurse of medication shortages or issues
• Suggest improvements to medication systems

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of a state-approved CNA program and listed on the Maine CNA Registry
• Ability to interact with our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
