Job Description

This position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College. Instructors may be required to develop customized training curriculum and/or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.
• Develop curriculum for various educational projects, including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, special training projects, and international programs.
• Deliver instruction for these educational projects.
• Complete required documentation, including grades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

• Educational requirements vary based on the training need.
• At least two years of related experience relevant to the subject area.
• Knowledge in areas such as industrial maintenance, vibration analysis, electrical systems, aviation maintenance, safety, welding, heavy equipment operation, telecommunications, controls, HVAC, ESL, or building construction, as deemed appropriate.
• LVN or RN license.
• The percentage of time spent on essential functions will vary based on workload and will be determined by the supervisor.
