Job Description

This position serves as an entry point for qualified applicants to be considered for anticipated part-time temporary positions under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College. Instructors may be required to develop customized training curricula and/or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.

Essential Functions

1. Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.
2. Develop curriculum for various educational projects, including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and international programs.
3. Deliver instruction for these educational projects.
4. Complete required documentation, including grades, as directed by the supervisor.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• Educational requirements vary based on the training need.
• At least two years of related experience relevant to the subject area.
• Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: industrial maintenance, vibration analysis, fluid power, electrical, aviation maintenance, safety, instrumentation/electronic control systems, welding, heavy equipment operation, telecommunications, CNC, boiler systems, HVAC, ESL, building construction, or other specialized manufacturing skills.
• LVN or RN license.
• The percentage of time spent on each function will vary based on workload and will be determined by the supervisor.
