Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Inpatient Days

Location: Lexington, KY

Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week from 7am-7:30pm, including rotating weekends and holidays

As a BCN Hospice Team member, you will be part of a team providing care to patients and their families who have chosen comfort care for terminal illnesses. Our service focuses on one patient at a time, providing care in their home, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, or at our Hospice Care Centers if needed.

Role Responsibilities

The CNA works under RN supervision, providing personal care, observing and reporting patient conditions, and ensuring a safe environment. Responsibilities include documenting care and patient observations.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent
• Current State Registered Nurse Aide certification
• Preferred: 1-year hospital or nursing home experience
• Completion of recognized CNA training
• Ability to follow written instructions and document care
• Satisfactory references
• Self-directed with minimal supervision
• Compassion for the needs of the terminally ill and understanding of hospice philosophy
• Good tact, patience, and hygiene
• Driving not required but if performed, must have valid driver’s license and comply with insurance laws
• Compliance with Bluegrass Care Navigators health and vaccination policies

Salary

$17.76 - $21.90 per hour
