Job summary

Novant Health’s Surgical unit (Surgery 1) at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time day shift (7am–7pm). You will deliver compassionate patient care within a supportive, home-like team environment with strong leadership, contributing to quality outcomes.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, NA I on the nurse aide registry, completion of the NAI program, Medication Safety—AME, and at least 1 year of relevant

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• One year experience preferred; one year in long-term care or assisted living required.
• Completion of NAI program and listed on nurse aide registry as an NA I required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
