Job summary

Novant Health in Huntersville, NC is hiring a patient care assistant to provide and document daily living activities and maintain a safe, clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse.

In Assisted Living units, you will assist residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and promptly report any changes to the Charge Nurse. The role supports compassionate, resident-centered care across our community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NA I certification and listed on nurse aide registry required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred; long-term care or assisted living experience preferred.

What We're Looking For

• Experience:
• One year preferred.
• One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Completion of NAI program, required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
• Medication Safety - AME, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
