Job summary

Avantara Lincoln Park in Chicago seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) to provide high-quality nursing care and exceptional resident services. The role focuses on safeguarding health and welfare while supporting daily living activities and comfort for Guests.

Expect to work closely with the care team, document care, assist with admissions and transfers, and respond promptly to call lights, ensuring dignity and safety for every resident in a vibrant, historic neighborhood setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, unencumbered Nursing Assistant Certification (C.N.A.) in the state of practice.
• CPR Certification where required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to Guests in an environment that promotes rights, dignity and freedom of choice.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADL), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Attends to incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication and other needs.
• Maintains skin integrity and helps prevent pressure ulcers through care and turning.
• Reviews care plans and documents observations and care provided.
• Responds promptly to call lights and assists with admissions, re-admissions and transfers.
• Communicates effectively with Guests, families, peers and supervisors and participates in meetings.
