Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform routine personal care duties for patients and maintain a safe environment.

The role supports the mission and values of the health system. New hires must have a CNA certification and a high school diploma or equivalent, with BLS certification required prior to orientation.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Must be competent to successfully interact with patients according to their age and needs.
• Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital.
• Will be required to obtain Valley Health provided annual flu vaccination if employed in Long-Term Care clinical areas.
• Requires BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider).

Certification & Licensures
Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required.

Must be listed on the relevant Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide in Virginia and/or West Virginia based on work location(s) within Valley Health.

BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
