Per Diem, As Needed, Non-Benefit Eligible
Under the direct supervision of the assigned Registered Nurse, performs a variety of direct patient care activities to address the personal needs and comforts of patients. Provides care tailored to various age groups from infants to the elderly, and accommodates specific needs related to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. Incorporates knowledge of patient rights, exceptional care, and the hospital's values and mission into job duties. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a nursing assistant or enrollment in a nursing program with completion of "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II".
Valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or proof of enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completed "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II" courses.
Computer experience preferred. CPR certification required.
