Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Brevard, NC is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Float Pool at Transylvania Regional Hospital. You will support RNs with hands-on care, monitor patients, and assist with daily living activities, vital signs, transfers, and safety in a busy hospital environment.

No travel required and no prior experience required. Qualifications include CNA certification and HS Diploma, with BLS within 30 days and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR training must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
