Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC is seeking a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant for the Acute Care Unit. Under the supervision of the RN, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients and families.

Qualified candidates will have a CNA credential, High School Diploma or GED, and must obtain Basic Life Support within 15 days of start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent is preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 15 days of start date.
• CNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient prep, mobility, transfers and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized and stocked for safety.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families and care team.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Certified Nursing Assistant delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the CNA assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the CNA’s skills/training and the needs of the Department and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The CNA complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

What qualifications you will need:

• Preferred Education: High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Required License: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 15 days of employment start date
• Required License: (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
