Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant to provide inpatient psychiatric and medical support at BAMC, aligning with military and civil service standards.

You will deliver direct patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, and maintain infection control while supporting daily living activities and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric and medical support in accordance with military and civil service standards.
• Deliver direct patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with procedures and maintain safety and infection control.
• Support daily living activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with BAMC policies.
• Perform patient assessment and monitoring, including recording vital signs and observing patients for distress.
• Assist in providing patients with information regarding self‑care and therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness of patient environment and adhere to safety and infection control policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned within skill set.

Requirements

• Certificate
• Completion of a state‑approved CNA program
• Successfully passed state exam
• Registered in the Nursing Assistant Registry certified by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Must maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted/unencumbered certification from any U.S. state or jurisdiction to work as a CNA
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in the last two years in the required specialty under supervision of a Physician, LVN and/or RN
• U.S. Citizenship is required
