West-Haven-Healthcare in West Covina, CA is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time weekend shifts (AM, PM, and NOC). You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and offer emotional support to residents.

The role requires an active CNA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and good health to lift/move patients. HIPAA adherence and teamwork with the care staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with completion of a CNA program
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
• Assistance with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Ensure patient safety by lifting and transferring individuals as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for patient care
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient service
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
• Other duties as assigned

Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities
