Unit Bio:
This 10 bed intensive care unit (SCU3) is adding clinical talent to their thriving team. To be part of the nursing group on this unit a candidate must be focused on outstanding patient care, team communication, and their drive to excel not only a member of our organization, but also as an individual.
Patients cared for on this unit are primarily surgical patients which specialties include: head trauma, intracranial bleeds, seizures and strokes.
Summary:
oUnder the supervision of a Registered Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
