Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.) to join our skilled nursing department. You will assist professional nurses in providing care according to individualized care plans and facility policies, focusing on a restorative philosophy to improve residents' quality of life.

You will support residents in daily living activities and collaborate with the care team to ensure dignity, safety, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois C.N.A. Certificate
• Current CPR Card

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and physical support to residents to help them function at their highest level of independence (dressing, bathing, grooming, eating/feeding, bed mobility/positioning, continence care/toileting, behavioral support, ambulation/wheelchair mobility)
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
• Communicate changes in residents' condition and function to the nurse immediately
• Complete C.N.A. documentation (progress notes, percentage of meals and fluids, bowel sheet, ADLs)
• Communicate with residents, families and co-workers in a pleasant, positive manner
• Respect Residents' Rights for Privacy and Dignity
• Perform assigned tasks as directed by Unit Manager

Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.) in our skilled nursing department. C.N.A.'s will perform duties that assist the professional nurses in providing care to residents according to their individualized care plan and facility policies and procedures. With emphasis on a restorative philosophy, C.N.A.'s perform duties that assist the resident with their activities of daily living and enhance their quality of life.

• Provide a balance of emotional and physical support that allows an individual to function at their highest level of independence including dressing, bathing, grooming, eating/feeding, bed mobility/positioning, continence care/toileting, behavioral support, ambulation/wheelchair mobility.

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents

• Communicates changes in residents' condition and function to nurse immediately when noted.

• Performs assigned tasks as directed by Unit Manager.

• Accountable for completion of C.N.A. documentation which includes progress notes, percentage of meals and fluid taken, bowel sheet, and ADL's.

• Communicates with residents, families and co-workers utilizing a pleasant positive approach.

• Respects Residents Rights for Privacy and Dignity.
