Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated in Statesville, NC, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Medical Renal/Oncology Unit. This full-time role supports patient care needs under the supervision of a registered nurse in a supportive environment.

The CNA will help with daily unit tasks, maintain patient information access, and may access medication storage areas in line with job responsibilities; a sign-on bonus is offered for full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required unless a current high school student participating in the NC CATS program.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Listed with North Carolina DHHS Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test; lift up to 30 pounds.

Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (36 hours per week)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NC
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
