Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Regency at Jackson in Michigan. The CNA will provide direct resident care under supervision, assist with ADLs, monitor health indicators, and support licensed staff to deliver individualized care in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of a state approved CNA training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and positioning with proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly to call lights and changes in condition; report to licensed staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation following facility procedures.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.

• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and position using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution guidelines at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Provides postmortem care

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Graduate/GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.
