Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a PRN 12‑hour day shift in New Orleans, LA. The CNA will support patient care, from vital signs to daily activities, meals, and mobility assistance.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, documenting intake, turning immobile patients, and responding to call lights to enhance patient well‑being. Hospital experience is preferred and BLS/CNA licensure is required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Active CNA license in the state is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, hygiene).
• Deliver meals and snacks; document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely; assist mobility.
• Answer call lights and support patient well‑being.
• Transport patients to treatment areas.

Hospital Name: Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital Joint venture/Partnership/Affiliation with Select Medical Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: New Orleans, LA Schedule: PRN - 12 Hour Shifts - Day Shift 7:00-7:00

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

- Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.

- Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.

- Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.

- Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.

- Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.

- Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

- Must have active CNA license in the state

Preferred Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Hospital experience
