Job summary

Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support inpatient rehabilitation patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders and other conditions.

The role offers a full-time, 12-hour day shift (7:00a–7:00p) with pay from $17.64 to $21.50 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include orientation, PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), life and disability coverage, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have active CNA license in the state.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely and assisting in mobility programs.
• Responding to patient call lights and providing care to enhance well-being.
• Transporting patients to designated areas for treatment.
