Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Milwaukee - St. Francis is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PRN/Per Diem 12-hour day shifts. The hospital focuses on critical illness recovery, providing inpatient post-ICU care to seriously ill patients.

As a CNA, you will support patient bathing, oral care, feeding, and mobility, participate in hourly rounds, and assist with transport and instrument sanitation. A strong orientation and opportunities for advancement are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a CNA or related role may be required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
