Job summary

The Palms at Sebring in Sebring, FL is seeking dependable and compassionate CNAs to join our nursing team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position offers scheduling flexibility and requires an active Florida CNA certification.

PRN CNAs are expected to meet minimum scheduling needs, assist with resident care, and adhere to facility policies while maintaining safety, privacy, and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA license in good standing.
• Able to pass all required background screenings and pre-employment requirements.
• Able to perform the essential physical functions of the CNA position.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.
• Dependable communication and teamwork skills.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals).
• Providing safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance.
• Answering call lights promptly and responding to resident needs.
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs and other assigned information.
• Completing required documentation and point-of-care charting.
• Reporting changes in resident condition to the nurse promptly.
• Following infection prevention, resident safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
• Maintaining resident dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
• Working cooperatively with nurses, CNAs, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – PRN

The Palms at Sebring is seeking dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing team on a PRN (as-needed) basis.

This position is ideal for CNAs looking for scheduling flexibility while maintaining an active and reliable commitment to our facility and residents.

PRN Scheduling Requirements

All PRN CNAs are expected to meet the following minimum scheduling requirements:

• Work a minimum of two (2) shifts per month.

• Maintain an active and current Florida CNA certification.

• Provide availability in accordance with facility scheduling procedures.

• PRN employees are expected to assist with coverage based on facility staffing needs and their submitted availability.

• Once a PRN employee accepts or is scheduled for a shift, the employee is expected to work the shift as scheduled.

• Repeated call-offs, late arrivals, no-call/no-shows, or failure to meet the minimum PRN shift requirement may result in removal from the PRN schedule and/or termination of employment.

• PRN status does not guarantee a specific number of hours or shifts beyond shifts offered and accepted based on facility needs.

• Additional shifts may be available based on census, call-offs, vacations, leaves of absence, and other staffing needs.

CNA Responsibilities
