Job summary

San Gabriel Convalescent in Rosemead, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Sub-Acute experience to join our Nursing Department. The role is full-time PM shift, non-exempt, pay grade $23/hour.

You will provide personal care under supervision, assist with daily living activities, maintain safety, document rounds, and deliver compassionate patient-centered care in a sub-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with successful completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum of one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster(s).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift and move residents, or stand for long periods, with or without accommodation.
• Compassion towards residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse.
• Assistance with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings.
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
