Job summary

OnShift, Inc. in Los Angeles is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Sub-Acute experience to join our Nursing department. This non-exempt role requires an active CNA certificate and at least 1 year of Sub-Acute experience, plus COVID-19 vaccination.

The position involves providing personal care under RN supervision, assisting with ADLs, maintaining a clean unit, and ensuring resident safety and dignity. Excellent patient communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with successful completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• Vaccination against COVID-19 including booster(s).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Compassion towards residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings.
• Maintain unit organization to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
• Assist with lifting and transitioning residents between wheelchair, bed, and chair.
• Transport residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
