Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for private duty home care. You will help seniors with daily activities, monitor health, and support a patient-centered care plan from the comfort of clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Kansas CNA certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license or Kansas State ID with transportation.
• Compassionate nature, good communicator, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors in their homes, assisting with daily activities.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, and document changes.
• Work with home health nurses and aides to follow the care plan.
• Observe patients and notify supervisor of changes requiring care adjustments.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant with Private Duty, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for our Certified Nursing Assistants with Private Duty:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Kansas
• CPR certification
• Valid Kansas driver’s license or Kansas State ID, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
