What You’ll Do

• Providing compassionate personal care based on each client’s individual needs.
• Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers when needed.
• Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Assisting with meal preparation and other daily household needs.
• Helping clients maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Following individualized care plans and providing care according to established guidelines.
• Observing clients and communicating important changes or concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Maintaining professionalism, respect, and confidentiality while providing care.
• Building positive relationships with clients and their families.

Qualifications: EDUCATION / SKILLS / ABILITIES / AVAILABILITY

• High school graduate of G.E.D. certificate preferred. Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course.
• Interpersonal relations abilities.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Primarily works in client’s place of residence; travel may be required.
