Job summary

Park Place of Elmhurst, a member of Providence Life Services, is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time morning shifts 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You will provide resident care following physician orders, document observations, and support daily living activities on campus.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions, grooming, toileting, and maintaining a calm, safe environment; you will collaborate with nurses to ensure consistent care and accurate vital sign

Responsibilities

• Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and established standards and policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care; document changes.
• Comply with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, and state/federal regulations.
• Communicate goals of care to resident and family/caregiver.
• Assist with admissions and greet residents and family members.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of residents.
• Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for residents.
• Assist residents not fully ambulatory with gait belt.
• Document changes and give shift reports to prescribing nurses.
• Measure and record vital signs as instructed.

Key Responsibilities:

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking CNAs to provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care. Performs all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies. Communicates and interprets the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.

• Assist with the Admissions process and greet residents and family members.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
• Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents.
• Assist residents who are not fully ambulatory with a gait belt.
• Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
• Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.

Requirements

• Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality.
• Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly.
• Must be mature and career minded.
• Must have a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.
• Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.
