Job summary

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant for a part-time evening shift (2:00PM-10:00PM) to support residents with daily living activities and basic nursing tasks in Elmhurst, Illinois.

You will follow physician orders and care plans, document observations, and work within regulatory standards to ensure safe, respectful care. Prior long-term care experience is a plus; state CNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident and nursing care according to physician's orders and nursing techniques.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
• Comply with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal regulations.
• Communicate goals of care to resident and family/caregiver.
• Assist with admissions and greet residents and family.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of residents.
• Document changes in medical condition to nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care.
• Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.

Key Responsibilities:

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking CNAs to provide resident and nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care. Performs all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies. Communicates and interprets the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.

• Assist with the Admissions process and greet residents and family members.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
• Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents.
• Assist residents who are not fully ambulatory with a gait belt.
• Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
• Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.

Requirements

• Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality.
• Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly.
• Must be mature and career minded.
• Must have a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.
• Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.
