Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver high-quality care to residents at Sturges Ridge of Fairfield in Fairfield, CT. You will assist with daily living activities in a warm, home-like environment and document observations for the care team.

The role requires a valid CNA license; prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting is preferred, and experience with dementia is desirable.

Qualifications

• CNA license is required.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with residents with dementia is desired.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
