Health First in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support direct patient care under RN supervision. You will deliver basic care, communicate with the care team, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

The ideal candidate graduated from a state-approved CNA program, holds or will obtain Florida licensure, and demonstrates reliability, English proficiency, and compassion for patients across ages and backgrounds.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Course and scheduled to take the Florida State exam.
• Work Experience: None
• Licensure: CNA in Florida within 120 days of start date and maintained OR CNA licensure in another state with Florida licensure planned within 120 days.
• Certification: AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.
• Licensure In Lieu of Education: CNA licensure in the State of Florida.
• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Must speak and respond in English; proficient with MS Office and EMR systems; able to work under stress and demonstrate reliability and flexibility.

Work Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Course and scheduled to take the Florida State exam.
• Work Experience: None
• Licensure: Any one of the following:
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure in the State of Florida within 120 days of start date and maintained OR
• Currently holds Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in another U.S. state and is seeking the State of Florida licensure within 120 days of start date and maintained.
• Certification:
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.
• Additional Certifications as determined by unit assignment.
• Licensure In Lieu of Education: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure in the State of Florida.
• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Must be able to speak, understand, and response to all written and verbal instructions in the English language.
• Proficient in computer software applications (e.g., MS Office, EMR(s).
• Ability to work in often stressful environments with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
• Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and flexibility.
• Ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.
• Ability to respond appropriately in life threatening situations.
• Ability to think critically to solve problems or elevate for assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Physical Requirements

• Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
• May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
• May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.
• May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.
• May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.
• May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
• Workspace may vary from open to confined.
• May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
