Job summary

Ponce Health & Rehabilitation Center in Florida is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. You will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, administer medications as directed, document care, and support mobility to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires a current CNA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Must be compassionate and patient with all types of patients.
• Experience in long-term care or acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
• Administer medications and document all medication administration in the patient's chart.
• Keep patient rooms clean and tidy.
• Help patients with mobility, including using walkers or wheelchairs, and positioning them in beds or chairs.
• Record all care provided to patients accurately and timely.
• Report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
• Respond to patient calls in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
