Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Harlingen, TX seeks a compassionate Nurse's Aide to support patient care across general nursing units, maternal-child, nursery, endoscopy, ED, and behavioral health units. You will complete competencies during onboarding and perform duties to assist patients 18 years and older.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CPR/BLS certification, and a current nurse's aide certification (or related field). One year hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year hospital experience
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of a current state or national nurse's aide certification or a certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical assistant, EKG tech or in another related field.
• REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS -Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center.

Responsibilities

• General Nursing Units care for patients from age 18 years to maturity. Unit specific variation may apply.
• Special Care Areas care for patients 18 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
• Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition.
• Nursery care includes care for the newborn until discharge.
• Endoscopy Unit cares for patients 18 years and older.
• Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages.
• Behavioral Health/Gero-Psych Unit provides care for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care.
