Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by performing basic care activities essential to patient comfort and needs.
• Dress, groom, bathe, feed, and record vital signs of patients.
• Respond to call lights, assist with toileting, oral care, nail care, catheter care, transport, and reposition patients; report changes and take out trash.
• Must be certified as a Nurse Assistant and operate within Standards of Practice.
• Provide simple or uncomplicated patient care.
• Clean rooms and change bed linens.
• Record temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Administer medication as directed by Physician or Nurse, noting amount and time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Certification as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide, or completion of a recognized training program or recent experience as an aide.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., and sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach as needed.
