About the Role

At Care Options for Kids, we bring love, light, and laughter into the homes and communities we serve. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care with integrity and compassion and are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) who share our vision. We specialize in one-on-one hourly pediatric and adult care in the home.

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities as assigned by the RN, including assistance with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, including light cleaning and organization of living areas.
• Measure intake and output of fluids, and monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Keep records of healthcare activities.
• Observe and report changes in the patient's appearance or behavior to the RN.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: At least 1 year of home care experience preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

• Valid Florida CNA license or 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
• Current BLS CPR certification (in-person required)
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Alzheimer's training - 2-hour DOEA approved course (free if needed)
• 1-hour DOEA Alzheimer's video (free)
• Assistance with self-administration of medication CEU (minimum 2 hours)
• HIV/AIDS CEU
