This role is critical in delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing non-medical personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assisting with daily living activities like light housekeeping and meal prep.
- Offering companionship and engaging clients in activities they love.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Providing support in critical care environments, including PICU and medical-surgical units.
- Assisting clients with transfers.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Assisting nursing staff with medical procedures and treatments as directed.
- Documenting patient information accurately in electronic health record systems.
- Participating in patient education by teaching basic health concepts and care instructions.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Someone experienced in the field, especially with Alzheimer's/Dementia, holding a CNA and/or HHA license.
- Compassion: A genuine love for spending time with seniors, making them smile, and maintaining patient dignity.
- Skills: Ability to assist with personal care, daily activities, companionship, and other client needs.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in hospital or assisted living settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care practices.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as critical care units.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Physical ability to lift patients and perform tasks requiring standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining patient dignity.
- Driver's license is required; professional liability insurance is preferred.
- Ability to pass a level 2 background check.
