For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):

• 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
• 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Unit Bio

P3CD is a high-paced 29-bed Medical Surgical unit providing exceptional care for adult patients before and after surgical procedures. Our team emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and outcomes, fostering a culture of teamwork, communication, compassionate care, and cultural sensitivity. We support shared governance and professional development.

Summary

Under supervision of Registered Nurses, performs service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with hygiene and activities of daily living. Duties vary by area. Consideration of patient needs and behaviors is required.

The CNA – Acute Care assists in nursing care under RN supervision, performing direct and indirect care duties.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current applicable state CNA license; BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: 0-6 months CNA experience; on-the-job training provided.
