Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care in a warm, patient-centered environment at our South Pittsburg Rehab & Wellness Center. You will perform ADLs, monitor residents, and support daily activities under licensed supervision, ensuring safety and dignity for all residents.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA certification, communicates effectively, and collaborates with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Nursing Assistant certification (state license).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a nursing team.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible, adaptable and able to work with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs within scope of practice per resident plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using proper body mechanics.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and meals.
• Routinely turn residents and maintain comfort and safety.
• Support resident rights and assist with call lights.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
